As the saying goes “the devil is in the detail”, and the fixtures and fittings we incorporate when building a shepherds hut certainly matter to our customers and theirs. Our range features a selection of designs, including Herdsman, Off Grid, Double and Bespoke shepherds huts. Each and every one of these is fitted to the highest standards with fixtures that complement the design of the hut and unlock many, many benefits.
Here we shine the spotlight on the smaller details that make the biggest difference so those buying a shepherds hut or expanding their glamping facilities can see the true value of their investment.
The thought and detail that goes into our bespoke shepherds huts really comes into its own during the design process.
It all starts with a tour of our show huts. We encourage and welcome all those thinking of buying a shepherds hut to visit our displays in Bristol and gain a real feel for our designs, and all the fixtures and fittings that make them so special.
What you see in our showroom however isn’t set in stone. If you require any changes, these are discussed prior to the build. Once finalised, we create CAD drawings of your build, presenting you with the plan, elevations and ground detail of your design for review.
No interior scheme would be complete without a fresh lick of paint. When building a shepherds hut, we offer a selection of Farrow and Ball paint options to choose from and match shades to suit your exact requirements.
While you are welcome to use our designs when buying a shepherds hut, you also have the option to choose your own. Your bespoke shepherds hut is a stunning, intricately crafted blank canvas that’s just waiting for a touch of your creativity! We can incorporate your ideas into the design, and you can even choose your own materials, which our team will order on your behalf and put into production.
We understand that your off grid cabins and bespoke shepherds huts need to be accessible all year round for you to really make the most of your investment. That’s why we use Salamander Eco Hobbit stoves in all of our builds, coupled with our own bespoke vented fire surround.
The kitchens featured in our small wooden houses are built to design using a local company. Each comes with an option of either oak or granite worktops, fully fitted with an electric hob, 1-litre ceramic sink (including mixer tap), and fridge freezer. We also fit a wall mounted, integrated Bosch microwave.
When building a shepherds hut, we’re well aware of the size restrictions of the space. Rather than see this as a negative however, we view it as a challenge that clever design can easily overcome. Our bespoke shepherds huts incorporate a number of savvy storage solutions, including those found in our seating areas.
The build comes fitted with storage seating that is completed with a cushioned top as standard. These can of course be left out of the build should you wish to place your own two-seater sofa in the space allocated.
We build and fit our own bedrooms within our huts. Each comprises of an oak tongue and groove headboard, and you’ll also find a handy storage cupboard underneath. Our beds are then finished with a memory foam or pocket sprung double mattress. Customers can choose from a standard bedroom size or a king size bed.
From the floors to the ceiling, you’ll find our beautiful, premium touches everywhere. All floors within our builds are finished in engineered oak, whilst the lighting system is luxurious from fixtures to switches.
Corston Brass switches with black insets and Pooky interior lights come as standard in our builds. We have carefully chosen these fixtures to ensure they are robust enough for continual usage and fit into our design models to perfection. Our lighting options may change from time to time, but we would always check with you before any alterations are made.
The exterior of our bespoke shepherds huts is just as carefully designed and well-crafted as the interior. You can choose from oak or coated steel corrugated cladding.
The chassis is handmade by our supplier in Wales and can be built to your size specification. Our green oak, featheredge exterior is completely maintenance-free for your ease and convenience. Alternatively, the exterior can be crafted using ‘wriggly’ tin in a wide choice of colours.
