20ft and 12ft are two great sizes and keep the very essence of what makes shepherd huts so special, while offering slightly different spaces depending on preference. In theory, you could build a much larger hut, but this may start to lose the charming characteristics that are so strongly associated with shepherd huts.
Regardless of size, shepherd huts should always maintain the traditional rectangular shape. This traditional size shapes the living experience within the hut and helps craft the cosy and welcoming atmosphere.
Something to consider when thinking about shepherd huts is that the benefits of being able to move them relatively easily are usually associated with more traditional, smaller sizes.
