A rave review from Windford Glamping – this is Seb’s story

We always love to hear feedback from our customers, and this is a testimonial we just had to share with you. Seb from Windford Glamping in Bristol has just received the first of his three huts, and it’s safe to say he’s happy with his Herdsman Here’s Seb’s story…

A landscape gardener with a passion for glamping

A landscape gardener by trade, Seb first got his idea to start a glamping business when he stumbled upon a three-quarter of an acre site for sale in Bristol. The first thing he did was approach us to ask if we thought the site would be suitable for shepherd huts.

Our team did a desktop study and a bit of local research before advising Seb of our findings. Seb and the owners quickly agreed a price – which included a connection for water and electricity – to sow the seed for a glamping business that Bristol so desperately needed.

A match made in heaven – choosing the Herdsman

It didn’t take long for Seb to return to us to browse our range of skilfully hand-built huts. He decided to go for our popular 20ft Herdsman for his first hut and secured his build slot with a deposit. We then got the ball rolling with his planning exemption license. Fast forward four weeks and he had permission for up to three huts on his site.

His partner Kirsty visited us next, and so the fun began. We helped Kirsty choose the final colours and specification to really bring their glamping vision to life. On site, Seb got to work on some soft landscaping, the hut base, and the installation of the waste tank and services. Their beautiful hut was delivered just a few weeks later.

The finishing touches and a look to the future

After placing their carefully designed Herdsman hut on site, those final flourishes and landscaping could be completed. With this, Windford Glamping was born!

They are now all set to launch the hut on Airbnb. You can enjoy the stunning accommodation offered by Seb and Kirsty at their Herdsman hut for yourself for a nightly rate of £200, plus cleaning fee.
